Principals

  

Kurt is the President of RRJ and responsible for the leadership and project oversight of the firm's evaluations, investigations, and field/laboratory testing services.  His experience spans 32 years specializing in the investigation and repair of distressed and deteriorated structures and the performance of building materials and systems.  He consults in the areas of structural analysis, complete collapse, design peer review, water leakage investigation, and expert witness testimony.

Andrea has over 11 years of architectural experience specializing in the evaluation and repair design of building enclosure components and systems, air/water infiltration field testing, and architectural and structural design of new and existing buildings. Her building enclosure expertise includes architectural peer review, thermal testing, and Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx).


 

  

Carole has 12 years of architectural experience specializing in the evaluation, investigation, design, and repair of roofing and waterproofing systems.  A Registered Roofing Consultant, she has extensive knowledge of roofing materials and assemblies, repair/replacement approaches, and construction quality assurance programs.
 

  

  

Bart has eight years of structural forsenics experience in field investigation, condition survey documentation, and remedial design.  He specializes in structural analysis in the areas of load path determination, calculation review, and computer modeling of existing structures and structural components.
 

  

Rebecca has over five years of experience in the development of drawings and specifications for remedial repair programs to resolve nonperforming build enclosure systems and components. She has conducted investigations involving condition survey documentation and laboratory testing and performed field inspection and construction observation on select repair projects.

 

  

Patrick has six years of engineering experience in structural design and analysis, evaluation, testing, and construction inspection of existing structures and hydro-mechanical components. His background includes masonry repair design, investigation, and construction, including masonry wall and facade assessments and diagnostic field testing, 

 

  


Business Operations

BARBARA J. SMITH, S.E., P.E. | Director of Business Operations

  

Barbara manages the day-to-day operations of RRJ and is responsible for risk management, finance, contracts, professional licensure, and oversight of the accounting, administrative, and technology support personnel. An accomplished structural engineer, her career spans over 36 years in forensic engineering, project management, and business operations.

KATE M. BRANNELLY, FSMPS, CPSM | Director of Business Development

  

Kate is responsible for the marketing operations and implementation of RRJ’s firm-wide client development, communications, and promotional initiatives. An A/E/C industry marketing leader, she has 29 years of marketing and business development experience with global and regional multidiscipline design and expert consulting engineering firms.
