RRJ receives the 2015 Sealant, Waterproofing and Restoration Institute (SWR Institute) Trinity Award for the PNC Bank Building Facade Restoration

The Trinity Award is awarded for recognition of Outstanding Collaborative Partnership Between SWR Institute Members in the Restoration Category. SWR Institute members, Raths, Rath & Johnson (Associate), Otto Baum Company (Contractor), and Dow Corning Corporation (Manufacturer) developed the repair design and implemented the construction to restore the exterior granite facade panels that were displaced at the PNC Bank Building located in the Central Springfield Historic District in Illinois.

George Mulholland is promoted to Senior Consulting Engineer at RRJ

George R. Mulholland, S.E., P.E. is an accomplished structural engineer with 28 years of experience specializing in the evaluation, investigation, and repair of distressed facades, buildings, and structures. Throughout his forensic career at RRJ, he has managed major investigations and repair programs for notable commercial buildings and signifcant historic structures. With his knowledge in concrete and building facade assesssment, he has served as an expert witness on structural and facade performance issues and failures.

Carole Ceja and Sarah Flock present Roof and Wall Considerations for Heat, Air, and Moisture Control that potentially impacts uncontrolled air vapor and thermal transfer on building enclosures at the CAC-RCI’s 2016 Annual Program, a full-day event at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook, Illinois. Their presentation discusses testing methods, limitations, current energy codes, and best practices.
