Kurt is the President of RRJ and responsible for the leadership and oversight of the firm's consulting and testing services. He has specialized in the investigation and repair of distressed and deteriorated structures and the performance of building materials and systems, and consults in the areas of structural analysis, complete collapse, design peer review, water leakage investigation, and expert witness testimony. Kurt was named among the world's leading expert witnesses by Who's Who Legal: Construction 2019 and received the 2019 Expert Witness Award, Construction-USA from Lawyer Monthly magazine.
KENNETH M. LIES, AIA | Senior Principal
Ken is the Vice President and Owner of RRJ with 35 years specializing in all aspects of architectural engineering, building enclosure consulting, material and system applications, and building diagnostics. His portfolio of experience has been diverse involving a variety of projects ranging from investigation and evaluation to rehabilitation of numerous buildings. He provides litigation consulting and expert witness testimony on building enclosure performance issues and failures.

Chuck has over 46 years of experience in structural engineering and forensics, field/laboratory testing, design peer review, litigation consulting, and expert witness testimony. He has directed hundreds of investigations for many high profile collapses and failures, and condition assessments and repair designs of distressed and aged structures.

Bob has over 40 years of experience in structural forensics and building enclosure performance. An industry leading building enclosure expert, he has conducted studies related to functional problems of walls and developed instrumentation to monitor condensation and its impact on wall behavior. He consults in the areas of peer review, repair design, litigation consulting, and expert witness testimony.
DENNIS K. JOHNSON | Principal
Dennis has over 40 years of experience specializing in the investigation, evaluation, field testing, and repair design of fenestrations, wall systems and glazing materials. He has performed numerous investigations of exterior wall systems, including window, curtain wall, and skylight systems with air infiltration, water leakage, material, and other performance related problems. He consults in the areas of design peer review, construction quality assurance programs, and dispute resolution.
GEORGE R. MULHOLLAND, S.E., P.E. | Principal
George has 30 years of experience and expertise in structural and facade evaluation, investigation, and collapses. He has specialized in the condition assessment and repair design of new and existing buildings, and structural analysis of concrete, masonry, steel, and timber structures. He provides litigation support and expert witness testimony related to structural and facade design and construction defects.

Sarah has over 17 years of architectural experience specializing in water/moisture intrusion investigations, building enclosure repair design, field testing of distress structures, and nonperforming buildings and material systems. Patrick has over 14 years of experience in the forensic investigation, evaluation, and repair design of buildings and enclosures, from recently constructed to historic structures. Joe has 18 years of experience managing on-site investigations of large-scale complexes with emphasis on the diagnosis, analysis, testing, and repair design of distressed concrete, wood, and masonry structures, materials, and construction components. With his knowledge of structural performance and failure, he provides forensic support for dispute resolution and development of expert technical opinions.

Jacob has five years of experience in both laboratory and in situ testing of building materials, on-site quality control testing, and development of monitoring programs to investigate the effects of environmental conditions and the performance of building components. He manages the day-to-day operations of RRJ's laboratory responsible for purchasing, test program design, equipment calibrations, and data recording instrumentation.

Barbara manages the day-to-day operations of RRJ and is responsible for risk management, finance, contracts, professional licensure, and oversight of the accounting, administrative, and technology support personnel. An accomplished structural engineer, her career spans over 36 years in forensic engineering, project management, and business operations.

Kate is responsible for the marketing operations and implementation of RRJ’s firm-wide client development, communications, and promotional initiatives. An A/E/C industry marketing leader, she has 29 years of marketing and business development experience with global and regional multidiscipline design and expert consulting engineering firms.
