Four Seasons Hotel and Resort

During the interior build-out on this 10-story concrete slab structure, significant cracking in the flat plate slabs with post-tensioned reinforcement occurred.  The owner retained RRJ to investigate the structural integrity of the building and develop a repair plan. RRJ’s investigation confirmed that numerous stud rail configurations did not meet the original design intent. By using a customized approach and analysis to evaluate the slab punching shear capacity, RRJ was able to help the owner minimize repair cost and project delays.
