McCormick Place West Curtain Wall

RRJ performed on-site water penetration testing of the curtain wall installation at McCormick Place West, an expansion to the nation’s largest convention center. The test area was located on the west elevation at the third floor between Column Lines 11  and 12. It measured approximately 12 feet wide by 32 feet high and encompassed the full width of the curtain wall section by the full height. Calibrated nozzle testing was performed according to the methods of AAMA 501.2-94, Field Check of Metal Storefronts, Curtain Walls, and Sloped Glazing Systems for Water Leakage.
