UNO Galewood Elementary School

The Galewood Elementary School is one of several charter schools developed by United Neighborhood Organization.  The school features a sloped exterior wall designed as a ventilated rain screen system. The wall is constructed with an outer skin of Prodema panels and mounted over a built-up sandwich panel covered with a vapor permeable membrane.  The south wing consists of a soaring glass facade and wood paneled multi-use space. RRJ was retained by the contractor to investigate the sloped wall construction to address water leaks.  RRJ conducted a visual examination and gathered input from the panel and membrane manufacturers to develop repair options and test the repairs during construction.
