Cole Graveen, P.E., S.E., has been selected to be the Chair of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 7-28 Dead & Live Load Subcommittee. He will also serve as a voting member of the ASCE 7-28 Main Committee. The ASCE 7 standard, Minimum Design Loads and Associated Criteria Buildings and Other Structures, provides minimum loads and associated criteria for buildings and other structures. The standard is updated on a six-year cycle, and the ASCE 7 committees are beginning their efforts to revise and update the standard for the next edition to be published in 2028.
