Over 40 years of consulting and litigation experience

Kenneth Lies is a Licensed Architect and Senior Principal at Raths, Raths & Johnson, Inc. where he oversees and consults on projects involving architectural design, material and system applications, building diagnostics, and forensics. His career at RRJ spans 40 years during which time he has been involved in a broad range of projects from investigation, analysis, and rehabilitation of numerous buildings to the performance evaluation and failure of materials and building systems.

He has leading expertise in architectural technology and design, condition survey documentation, water leakage and moisture diagnostics, condensation potential analysis, materials and systems evaluations/testing, and contract document preparation. He consults on peer review, building codes and standards analysis, and design professional standard of care issues. An expert witness, he has provided technical consultation, litigation support, and deposition and trial testimony on numerous matters to clients located throughout the U.S.

He is a frequent speaker at ASTM International symposiums and industry conferences and an author of technical papers and articles relevant to his areas of expertise.
