RRJ was retained by CBRE to provide a design peer review of the renovations and modifications to the exterior facade of 840 North Michigan Avenue, a prominent Magnificent Mile retail property in downtown Chicago. Securing two major new tenants, Verizon Wireless and the Swedish clothier, H & M, the exterior facade required modifications to accommodate Verizon Wireless’ branded storefront prototype and a new signature store entrance for H& M.
RRJ performed a peer review of the design architect’s drawings and general notes for the modifications to the exterior building enclosure related to heat, air and moisture transfer, and the new glazing systems and light-weight granite panel system facade. A summary report with general comments and “redlined” changes to specific details in the architect’s drawings was prepared by RRJ.
