Lakeview East Cooperative Parking Garage

Investigation and repair

Constructed in 1973, this three-level parking garage serves an 18-story residential tower. When it exhibited water leakage through the decks and concrete distress, the owner engaged RRJ to determine the cause of concrete distress, evaluate the condition of concrete materials and check the strength and serviceability of the garage’s structural system. The investigation identified high chloride levels in the garage concrete, which would accelerate corrosion of the steel reinforcement.
