University of Cincinnati Old Chemistry Building

The Old Chemistry Building, constructed in 1914, is a four-story academic building featuring terra cotta belt lines at certain floor levels and windows and two projecting water tables. Years of ongoing water leakage was damaging the interior finishes near the roof level. Repairs to the terra cotta were performed to resolve the issue.  The repair architect retained RRJ to perform a limited condition survey of the exterior facade of the academic building. RRJ’s findings confirmed the terra cotta facade deterioration on the east and west parapet walls and the repair architect implemented repair recommendations made by RRJ.
