CTA 95th Street Station Terminal Improvement

The Chicago Transit Authority invested $240 million to modernize and expand the 95th Street Station Terminal, one of its busiest stations. The design-build project includes a new passenger terminal on the south side of the station, renovation and addition to the existing passenger terminal on the north side of the station, and a new pedestrian bridge over 95th Street joining both terminals. The project general contractor retained RRJ to provide quality assurance consulting and field testing of the installed curtain wall on the new South Terminal and existing North Terminal buildings.

How RRJ helped

  • Test for water leakage
  • Review specifications
  • Make installation recommendations
  • Observe exterior wall surfaces
  • Verify remedial repair
  • Conduct quality assurance consulting
  • Perform field testing of installed curtain wall
