Andrea Baird presents the three “Es” of peer review and provide tips for the professional consultant for performing effective, efficient peer reviews, and useful tools in the education of both the designer and expert alike. Drawing on 45 years of peer review experience and interviews with leading architectural designers, she will discuss peer review contracting, the exchange of complex yet minute ideas and concepts of the pace of modern design, deliverables, and final construction phase follow-up.


Patrick Reicher presents “Specifications for Improved Performance of Fenestration Systems” at CSI Chicago Technical Roundtable

This technical roundtable will focus on several options that specifiers can take during the design phase to increase the likelihood of satisfactory performance of fenestrations systems during their service life. Review of current industry standards, considerations to improve specification language, importance of construction sequencing, and field testing methods for quality control will be discussed.


George Mulholland, S.E., P.E. is elected Director of the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), Chicago Chapter

George Mulholland to serve as Director of the Chicago IRCI chapter, a local chapter of the ICRI, the only association in the concrete industry devoted solely to repair and restoration, and protection of concrete and other structures. ICRI members consist of contractors, manufacturers, engineers, distributors, owners, and other professionals involved in prolonging the useful life of concrete through quality repair, restoration, and protection. As a Director, he will be responsible for local chapter sponsorships, student outreach and chapter publications.
