Chalmers Elementary School

Chicago Public Schools retained RRJ to perform a water leakage field investigation of this aging elementary school located at 2745 West Roosevelt Road in Chicago. The two-story building’s envelope is comprised of modified bitumen roofing, brick masonry walls, and a window wall system.  RRJ’s investigation included portions of a two-story window wall system and the aluminum panel/roofing assembly located above it.  RRJ’s findings concluded that the locations and extent of water leakage vary with the most significant leakage at the full building height and where no brick masonry was present.
