RRJ was retained on behalf of the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority to provide enclosure consulting services related to the performance of the metal panel cladding systems and underlying air/water barrier materials at US Bank Stadium, a state-of-the-art, multipurpose sports facility that serves as the home of the Minnesota Vikings football team. The 65,000 spectator stadium consists of five of the largest rotating glass doors in the world, glass curtain wall, metal panels, and the largest translucent roof in North America.

The enclosure consulting services included:

  • Field investigation of as-built conditions
  • Ongoing facade monitoring program
  • Review of shop drawings and calculations pertaining to the metal cladding panels and substructures
  • Examination of the weather-resistive barrier installations
  • Observation of in situ and laboratory air infiltration and water penetration testing
