Riverside Public Library

Built in 1931, this public library has several additions and was the first Riverside building to be designated an Illinois Historic Structure. This designation required a facade evaluation to determine its condition.  The building’s exterior facade is comprised primarily of natural stone masonry with lead glass windows in cut limestone mullions, wood, and other masonry materials. The roofing systems included built-up roofing and slate tile. RRJ evaluated the building enclosure and made recommendations that were approved by the Library Board, including repair to the low- and steep-slope roofing systems and restoration of the exterior masonry, window glazing, and other facade elements.
