Mohawk Valley Health System | Replacement Hospital

This replacement hospital consolidates two main inpatient campuses, St. Elizabeth Medical Center and Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare into a single regional healthcare campus to improve healthcare access for the region. Located in downtown Utica, this $430 million hospital consists of a 10-story structure housing 373 beds totaling 672,000 square feet. RRJ was retained by Mohawk Valley Health System to provide building enclosure consulting services for the new regional healthcare facility, which features exterior wall cladding with fenestration systems integrated with metal panels, as well as brick veneer.

Scope of Services

• Conduct building enclosure consulting
• Review architectural drawings and specifications
• Assist with development of OPR and evaluation of enclosure assemblies
• Perform thermal modeling and hygrothermal analyses
• Assist bid evaluation
• Review shop drawings and submittals
• Assist with curtain wall mockup testing requirements
• Review RFIs
• Facilitate exterior wall preconstruction workshops
• Perform on-site quality assurance visits
• Provide project close-out documentation
